About Premium Portugal
Premium Portugal is born out of love for Premium Portuguese “ Extra Virgem” Olive Oil (E.V.O.)
We work together with small farmers who produce Olive Oil in the traditional way.
Our love for Portugal and specifically for Portuguese Olive Oil has started almost 10 years ago, when we received a big box with 6 bottles of Olive Oil form my good friend, Jose Oliveira, as a Christmas gift.
Jose has a medium sized olive yard in the middle of the Ribatejo area, which he takes care of together with his brother and sister. When the olives are harvested the rest of the family , neighbours and friends are joining forces to get the work done!
Ever since that first box, we fell in love with this Olive Oil, which tastes really smooth and have shared it with some friends who also loved it!
Evere year we asked Jose for more bottles, so we could share some with family and friends in the Netherlands and eventually we decided to make it a small business for food lovers.
